Cat Eyes

Rosencrantz

The cats really enjoyed the nice day today, and we all had a great time wandering around the garden together. Mama Manx had an especially great time in the outdoors, and I forgot she was out. When I got up on the roof to photograph the sunset, she climbed up and got after me for not letting her in. I had to take her down the ladder and put her inside before I could climb back up on the roof.

We took a walk in the bosque this afternoon. The sun was warm when we went out at 3:45, but as the sun sank, the air started cooling, then the wind started blowing and it was cold. We headed back to the house, I got up on the roof and talked to my neighbor while I photographed the sunset — he was out gathering wood for his fireplace. Funny how we end up talking over the wall or when I'm up on the roof doing photographs and he's out gathering wood. We rarely just pop over to one another's house to visit.

I ran into my old karate teacher at the grocery store tonight. We got caught up on life, the universe and everything while other shoppers made their way around us, and stock boys gently nudged us out of the way so they could put down pallets of goods where we were chatting.  We moved to the next space and finally went on to finish our respective shopping after we had to move for the stock boys for the fourth time.
