I usually fail miserably when I try to photograph birds; luckily there are paddlings of ducks in the ditch and river, and skeins of geese flying around, landing in fields and the river, making in relatively easy to photograph them. Cranes are easy to photograph, as well, because they are big, fairly bold, and there are large numbers of them that winter in the area. Therefore, I photograph ducks and geese every once in a while to improve my bird photography self-esteem.
Laurie and I made Ratatouille Gratin for dinner tonight. I was disappointed because the recipe didn't call for a single rodent. I figured we could make good use of a frozen rat or two — I wonder if the Cubans have any rodent recipes on line? Still, the Ratatouille was quite good, sans myomorpha, and an excellent dish that I would recommend for veggies looking for variety. But for those people who like meat and poultry, a little duck or goose on the side wouldn't be bad either.
