Old Car at Alameda & I-25

I finished the irrigation by 10:00 pm. Not bad! We got home around 4:15, and I put down the gate at 4:30, but the water didn't start coming in fast until about 8:00, when someone above us released the water. At least I didn't have to go out at midnight to lift the gate.

On the way home tonight a guy was driving a pretty well-restored old car, but I don't know what it was. He turned off north-bound I-25 at Alameda and got right back on south-bound I-25; with all the traffic; I only got one good shot of it.

On one of my many excursions out to check on the water, I got a photo of the latch on the pump house and one of Mama Manx rolling in the dirt. I  was photographing her with the telephoto lens, but once she noticed what I was doing, she came over and started rolling in the dirt at my feet, and being really cute about it.  After we put all the cats in, Guildenstern was sitting it his box with his paws hanging over the edge. I was charging the battery on my camera with the fast lens, so I photographed Guildenstern with the macro lens. It's a little soft, but not bad for 1/4 sec at f/3.5, hand held with no image stabilization.

The moon popped through the clouds for a few minutes tonight, showing its beautiful face in a golden yellow veil through the wispy clouds. I didn't have time to set up a tripod before it slipped behind the clouds again; however, I included a photo of the 99% full moon from Saturday night  since I didn't get the full moon last night or the 99% waning full moon tonight.

  1. Think it's a Plymouth, about 53 or 54. Not sure at all.
